Capacity Development Program at NCCR Concludes Training on ” Small Businesses”

Capacity Development Program at the National Center for Community Rehabilitation concluded on Monday, corresponding to 31st, December 2012, a three-day training course on “how to small your own business” targeting 15 female and male persons with disabilities. The training was held to develop the skills of persons with disabilities on planning and running their own small income-generating businesses, for the purpose of empowering this target group economically and contributing them into their society.
The trainer, Mr. Rafat Tantish used multiple tools for training, especially presentations, brainstorming, an open discussions.

The training handles diverse topics including but not limited to:
– Definition of small business;
– Types and characters of small business;
– Potential successful opportunities of small business;
– Reasons for failure of small business;
– Female as a businesswoman;
– Entrepreneurs and their characteristics;
– Role of entrepreneurs in development process; and
– Planning for small business.

The trainee, Miss Hanan Tafish said” The handled topics in the training were new to me ; I was not interested in them. Being involved in the training, I have started to pay more attention to small business that I am planning now to start my own business through clothes shop”.

It is worth mentioning that this training was held under the framework of ” Capacity Development Program” which aims at developing professional capacity of physically disabled people and promoting their knowledge.
